Week 3: TB's Next Top Model

Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to another round of Talk Budgies Next Top Model :D

This round will prove to be THE most exciting round yet! :D

Although we usually start with eliminations, this week I'll begin with the twist! This twist is probably the worst kept secret :o but I'll reveal it anyways to those who don't know :)

From now on, until the end of the competition, our judges will evict 2 contestants from the show, not one! :eek: We have also surprised you all and started the double eliminations this week!

Moving on to ELIMINATIONS!

Before we continue, I must acknowledge our fabulous and marvellous judges Pippin's Mom, softie and Cliff123 for giving up their time every week to judge this competition :) Thank you so much judges! :D

This week, TBNTM was rocked by a scandal :( One of the shows contestants failed to get their picture in, in time. I sent her warnings and even extended the deadline by a little, but it wasn't enough.

Unfortunately, it is my sad duty to disqualify/evict Hinamori and her budgie Sara this week :( I am very sorry to both of you :(

Hopefully this will be a reminder to you all to get your entries in on time. We will not hesitate to penalise anyone who breaks the rules. Rules ARE rules :)

I shall now post the Official Talk Budgies Next Top Model Rules :) They are re-posted each week to remind you all how the competition is run :)

RULES:
Contestents have 5 days from thursday to monday to PM me a picture of their budgie posing for the challenge (there will be a new one each week).

Judges will then have the remaining 2 days to PM me their nominations on who should go for that week. The budgie with the most nominations will be out. Contestents who don't PM me their picture by the end of the time constraints will automatically be out.

I will post the contestents pictures on the thread as soon as I get them, via PM. I will announce who is out at the start of each week.

For those of you still whishing to participate, there is still a chance. Each week, just post a picture of your budgie doing the challenge, on the thread. Throughout the competition, fullmetalgirl and I will pick 2 budgies from the public to fill in the places of 2 evicted contestents. 1 person will be chosen after round 2 and the other will be chosen after round 4.

NOTE that evicted contestent cannot win the competition anymore. But don't let it spoil your fun of posting pictures though. The only thing is that as an ex-conestant you will not be chosen anymore to be a contestent once again.

The trumph card: So basically, if you're budgie is not co-operating with you for the challenge and you don't know what to do, you can use your trumph card. The trumph card is "Budgies have feelings" so you need to take a photo of your budgie expressing emotion and send it in instead of the challenge.

Rules of trumphcard:
Can only be used ONCE during the entire contest.
PM The trumph card can be used for all rounds except the final.

It is now time to reveal this weeks challenge. It is...... BUDGIE BESTFRIEND! We want YOU to post a picture of your budgie next to it's best friend. That could be a special toy or perch or another budgie or even YOU! :D

So PM me (if you're a contestent) or post a picture on this thread (if you're a member of the public), a picture of your budgie posing next to its BEST FRIEND! :D

REMEMBER if you're a contestent, I need your picture via PM, before monday (preferably sooner) or you will be OUT.

Thanks. That picture was taken hours after their introduction. Gretel used to have a man named Hansel.they were outside in a new cage and Hansel went through the bars and flew away :( Gretel was alone for a few months and I could tell she missed Hansel. So I bought Woody, after QT it was like they had always been together :). Immediate love at first site :D

Great job everyone and good luck.....I'll see if I can get a picture of Galaxy and his best friend and put it in the blooper thread, but had I made it into this round this could have very well been the week to use my trumph or get knocked out....none of my birds are very lovie with each other, so I think I would go with Galaxy and me...which it is hard to take pictures of yourself, so there could really be great bloopers!

I guess i'm feeling a little bad cuz Mouse has reverted into being so shy and seems so sad. He doesn't have the same pep, and doesn't seem to be happy to see me and enjoy our cuddling sessions like he used to before i brought him home.

I know in my head that it's normal, he is still getting used to being away from all of his friends and getting comfortable with his new home. I know that this is to be expected... but, well... you know. :o

Keet1976 - Sorry to see you go :o I love Galaxy - maybe you could do a whole thread with bunches of photo's of him in it? He is gorgeous, a perfect combination of my Indi & Tingle, he is coloured like Tingle but shaped like Indi :XD: It made me sad to read Galaxy's post about leaving :( Tell him I still love him and think he is wonderful, that pose was fierce! :D

if quarantine was over than i could have taken a picture of Kiki with Kara but sadly right now her only friend is the birdie head since she lets me pet her, i smile going 'aww she's such a nice baby' and i'm all jolly and happy and then a minute later she bites me, if you look into her eyes and you can see she's laughing inside :XD: She did try to become friends with Coacoa but he doesn't like her :( she does call for him when he's with us in another room but he pays her no attention at all :XD: poor kiki :XD:

Talk Budgies Next Super Model is once again the target of scandle! Sources close to the shows production say a cat fight broke out between the two female judges on the set of this popular reality show when they couldn't agree on who should stay and who should go! (Hmm..maybe it should be one of them);) We don't have all of the details in yet so stay tuned for more on this shocking story...when we asked the third and only male judge to comment he replied..BAR HUM BUG!:D

I have decided to change the challenge for Week 4. I felt that the one I was going to use originally was too easy and boring to use so late in this competition :)

So I decided to use one of the harder ones. Let me tell you all, this weeks challenge is going to be REALLLY tough! :evil: You are going to have to have a lot of creativity for this one!

I can tell you now, it is DEFINATELY the hardest one yet! It will be revealed on Wednesday (US) and Thursday (AUS) so make sure you tune in :D

This has definitely been the most challanging week for us judges. Its the first week so far that all of the judges were not in complete agreement and then as Softie mentioned in the process of talking it through we all finally agreed on a decision that flipped the whole thing in a new direction. I'm so sad to see the evicted contestants go this week and it will be VERY hard to say goodbye!:( :(Thankfully though its only goodbye for the competition!:D We will still have your wonderful company around the forums as well as your lovely birdies. I think you can all tell by our posts just how difficult this was. And I have a feeling its only going to get harder as the competition narrows.

Softie gave a great tip...focus on the challange for the week! Very important!:D Depending on the challange interaction is also very important!:)
