i thought it was mighty funny when i came downstairs to hear my canary imitating my budgie...hehe...short clip, might have to put the volume up a bit. tell me what you think.

Haha, that is cute! Those birds are so pretty!
I couldnt watch teh video my computer needed something...anyways Jenny...um I have 5 canaries now that I bought 3 males and 2 females.How did you get yours to lay eggs I am thinking of putting 1 male and female together. Mine have never sung taht I know of...How do you know becuase I am at school most of the day?These were some questions I wanted to ask you?

well first you should separate the males and females into two cages. i find this works the best when in the dark with a flash light. also, it depends on how old your canaries are. the eggs would be infertile if the males are not yet old enough, like with my male. keep the two cages together side by side and in the spring they should be ready. but, i suggest you do some researching on the internet when you can because there will be better more detailed info. i'm not an experienced breeder of canaries, just keep them as pets, so you're better to do more researching.
Yeah I already have them in separate cages...So put them in the dark...and do what with the flah light shine it on them?

lol no what i meant was that if you had to put them in seprate cages it's easiest done in the dark because they can't really see whats going on, that way they won't get all stressed out by being chased by a large hand...hehe anyway, just keep the cages side by side in what ever room they are in, at sunset cover the cages so that they know it is winter and then in the morning take the cover off. in the spring they might be ready to mate.
