My little baby Blue is getting used to me carring him around the house (even when we have two big dogs and a cat). Just this morning I took hil out and he didn't want to go in. Once I put him even closer to the cage he finally jumped but made a big fuzz, so I had to let him out again. Is that too much bonding? Or is it that he really likes to be outside his cage? :budgie:

I think it's just that he likes being out of the cage. I suggest putting a favorite treat in the cage so he goes straight in. Good luck!

It doesn't sound like too much bonding at all. It is great that your budgie trusts you to be out of his cage; so much so that he doesn't want to go back in! Star makes a great suggestion about putting a treat in the cage to hopefully entice him to go back in. Don't fret about his fussing when he has to be put in...;)

That happens to me all the time with all my birds! ;) They just like being out of the cage! I agree with Star try putting a treat in the cage so he goes in easier. I always look like a mad woman trying to get my babies back in the cage. Then they end up squawking like mad birds to get back out!!
