We named the little girl Cyn. [pronounced "sin"]
The boy will hopefully be named by tomarrow.

Very cute little guys :) My dorm mate in college had a ferret. Everytime we lost something we would have to go move her dresser and look in Felicias stash :)

Yep! They choose ONE place to stash EVERYTHING! It's awesome to me, that way I don't have to look in a whole lotta places formy "shiney things"! Also, the little boy likes to chew my remote! He ripped off 3 buttons! I had to take it away so he wont eat them and get sick!

I didn't think I would like them as much as I do.
Cory was the one who wanted them.
But the little girl is just so cuddly!

I built them some toys, and a hammock today and they crawled right in when I told them it was bed time!
I was shocked!
And they're descented, and litter trained! :D

I just looked it up:

As to why ferrets are illegal in California: there is no scientific reason for it. In 1933
ferrets were mistakenly put on the prohibited wildlife list when DF&G was formed. Other
states made this mistake and over time, have rectified it by removing the Domestic
Ferret from the wildlife list. Why not California? It pretty much boils down to the fact
that they don’t want to admit they are wrong and they get a lot of money by being
wrong. Sierra Club, Audubon and other organizations, for whatever reason, keep
pumping money to California DF&G for keeping ferrets illegal. Never mind the fact that
they never spoke up in other states where ferrets were illegal (Massachusetts comes to
mind).
To keep ferrets illegal, DF&G has come up with a number of reasons over the years.
No rabies vaccine, a lie which was answered by a lawsuit by the makers of Imrab, no
distemper vaccine, which has since been taken off their list of excuses, violent towards
children, which is backed by California Health Services, (wonder where New York city
got their ideas), and of course the "fact" that ferrets can go feral. So what if DF&G can't
find a real source to back up these “facts”? They make one up
of course! Easy to do when you are getting all sorts of money
to keep ferrets illegal. So why doesn't anyone see through
these tactics? Well, unless you have taken the time to actually
verify DF&G claims, you wouldn't necessarily know since
technically they are supposed to be telling the truth. Granted it
doesn't take too long using the internet to verify some of their
"claims" but for some people (those overseeing DF&G) this is
still too long.

That's just silly and dumb to me. :mad:

Well they're kinda like skunks. But they've been descented. So they just smell like... an animal. Like a dog or a cat. Their poo stinks to high heaven, but they're litter trained, so that's good!

And they are VERY cuddly.

lol i wish i could have skip school today. we had to run 3 and a bit laps of our school! 1. its BIG 2. i am a Horrible runner:p so now i am cramped plus to add to that both recesses (one 15 min. one 30 min. keep in mind i am in grade 6 so we have recess!:P:Plol) i played socceer with my friends, and thats alot of running cuz the people in net AKA my friends drop kick the ball far and we have to run and get it :P lol BUT back on topic congrats on the ferrets!!

Yes, they poop ALOT. And it does stink, but that's what litter is for. It doesn't smell if the litter is kicked on top of the poo. And they tend to cover it.

Australian laws are very strict about allowing hamsters or gerbils into Australia. It's not allowed at all (with one exception, lab studies). Due to their prolific breeding and the likelihood of people getting bored of them and letting them wild, within a few years Australia would be overrun with them. ;)
