Week 2: TB's Next Top Model

Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the second round of Talk Budgies Next Top Model!

Before I reveal the challenge, I must start with the EVICTIONS!

Our fabulous and marvelous judges (Pippin's Mom, softie and clifff123) deliberated for a long time before making their decision. It is unfortunately my duty to announce this weeks eviction.

It's time to go.....

Kip.The.Great.

You are no longer in the running of becoming Talk Budgies Next Top Model :( Please pack your bags, say your goodbyes and leave this competition immediately. A cab is waiting outside. (No, not litteraly, it is what they say on the show ;) )

With our first contestant gone, the stakes are high this week. At the end of this round, fullmetalgirl and I will choose a member of the public to become a contestant. Another contestant will also be evicted! So get snapping contestants to make sure that evicted contestant isn't you.

And all you members of the public, send in your photos (post them on this thread) and you could become a contestant on the show :)

Below, are the official TBNTM rules. They are re-posted every week to refresh your memories.

RULES:
Contestents have 5 days from thursday to monday to PM me a picture of their budgie posing for the challenge (there will be a new one each week).

Judges will then have the remaining 2 days to PM me their nominations on who should go for that week. The budgie with the most nominations will be out. Contestents who don't PM me their picture by the end of the time constraints will automatically be out.

I will post the contestents pictures on the thread as soon as I get them, via PM. I will announce who is out at the start of each week.

For those of you still whishing to participate, there is still a chance. Each week, just post a picture of your budgie doing the challenge, on the thread. Throughout the competition, fullmetalgirl and I will pick 2 budgies from the public to fill in the places of 2 evicted contestents. 1 person will be chosen after round 2 and the other will be chosen after round 4.

NOTE that evicted contestent cannot win the competition anymore. But don't let it spoil your fun of posting pictures though. The only thing is that as an ex-conestant you will not be chosen anymore to be a contestent once again.

The trumph card: So basically, if you're budgie is not co-operating with you for the challenge and you don't know what to do, you can use your trumph card. The trumph card is "Budgies have feelings" so you need to take a photo of your budgie expressing emotion and send it in instead of the challenge.

Rules of trumphcard:
Can only be used ONCE during the entire contest.
PM The trumph card can be used for all rounds except the final.

The challenge for this week is "BUDGIE PLAYTIME". So PM me (if you're a contestent) or post a picture on this thread (if you're a member of the public), a picture of your budgie posing next to or playing with it's favourite toy.

REMEMBER if you're a contestent, I need your picture via PM, before monday (preferably sooner) or you will be OUT.

When I went to see Mouse on Tuesday they said if he refused his Tuesday night and Wednesday night feedings he could come home with me on Thursday. *^_^*
I'm excited~! I hope he gets to come home today~!!

I think it was the local pet store - which is not a chainstore,it's a family run business. But I'm sure chainstores would probably sell similar if not the same toy! :D

However, just a warning, it has mirrors in it. My birds don’t pay too much attention to the mirrors they seem to enjoy the bell and hoops better, still, just a warning! :)

Before I had them, I didn't realize that budgies were so playful~! I had no idea that they played with toys and were so silly... it's so fun to see all these pictures cuz you can really see their little personalities~!

So, Mouse is home now~!!! YaY~! I started a thread in Budgie Talk...

Anyways, he's a bit scared.... and i'm not sure if he'll be any better by tomorrow.

I was planning on taking some pictures for the competition tonight/tomorrow, but I think I might just submit a photo i took on Thursday if it seems like photos would be too stressful for Mouse.

I had a hard time choosing one pic, but i decided to go with an "action shot" over some really cute photos that were just posing.

Here is my pic... Dolce doesn't play with any of his toys, I didn't want to post a "posey" shot of him with something he doesn't use so I am posting him with the only thing in his cage he uses and protects against from Dior (hehe silly Dolce), his calcium perch. thanks to BrazilianAngel's suggestion I bought some calcium, with the main idea was for Tequila to use one, and the one who loved it is Dolce.

Awww, I think Hinamori should still be allowed to enter her pic! :( It would be great to have every finalist have a chance. Especially since she already has the pic ready to go.

Of course, I would also understand if Budgietom can make no exceptions. Just thought because it is still early, the judges wouldn't mind too much...

a part of this contest is posting your picture on time...

is not a fair reason... if you ask me.. then we need to let evrybody get back in...

one more thing:
though it went wrong last week..
2 people should supposed to be eliminated evry week..
so i would like to ask the judges to choose another person to leave the competition..

I'm sorry about Hinamori and Sara too, but I agree with fullmetalgirl...the rules are part of the competition.:) It has been made very clear by Budgietom at the beginning of each week and even before the competition began that entries must be in by the deadline or that contestant is eliminated no exceptions. If this had never been stated or made clear then I would have a different view.

Yeah I still do send people reminders when they are late. The contestants have been sending their entries in really early so I only send them to a few who haven't given me their pictures yet and may have forgotten :)

hehe Pitchii is non-stop preening this morning so I think she's nervous too :D
