I need help, please!

I haven't dropped by in a while. My sister had three serious back surgeries a few weeks ago and I sold my house the same week. This is the problem. We are moving to North Carolina from Maryland. My budgie is a "nervous nellie"! She is friendly and playful but doesn't want anything in her little world disturbed. She hyperventilates if I move her cage from the family room into another room. I know she won't make the move. Plus we will be doing a lot of traveling once we get there. Is there anyone in the Salisbury (Eastern Shore area) of Maryland that would want her? I don't want her to die because I'm moving. She is about eight months old and really pretty...white, grey and blue. Please help if you know of someone.

And wouldnt the new move to a different house scare her?

I'm hoping for an older couple. Someone who would take really good care of her. This is breaking my heart but I know she will not survive the long trip and then all the driving around from city to city.

Oh Tana, you must feel just awful about all this. This is always a tough one.
You want her in a good home for sure. Are you certain that there's no one that you know. A neighbor perhaps. Maybe someone that knows someone who would love to have her.
I wish you all the very best. I know it's hard.

I have asked everyone I know. My mother has asked at her church. I don't know what to do.

Oh I wish that I could take the little sweet off of your hands but that would be even harder on the little babe than you taking her with you :rolleyes: I hope that you find someone who will love and care for her in every way, and hopefully keep in touch with you about how your little darling is doing :) Good luck! I am sure that someone near to you will come along soon!

What a difficult situation for you. I'm far too far away to help but am keeping my fingers crossed you are able to find your sweetie a great new home.

I am so happy and so sad at the same time. I found a wonderful home for my little one. Her name is Julie, she lives really close to me and she rescues animals. She is a true animal lover and I feel she will love her as much as I do...... but my heart is broken that she is gone.
