Blinkie's First "Friend"...

Hopefully he'll be a bit nicer to Ozzie. I'm planning on getting them a lovely new playgym so that they'll have some neutral territory to meet on.

I love the story you told with those pictures! Blinkie sure is a budgie with attitude! (It really suits him; he is master of all and follower of none!). I love the expressions on their little budgie faces. I think my favourite is the kung fu shot! :p

Haha, yeah. He truly is Lord Blinkie. :P I was really hoping that Blinkie would be nice to poor Pickle (budgie in the first pics). Pickle had bumblefoot and an injured wing. The poor guy was sad and lonely (cause he had to be brought inside) and so i thought Blinks could keep him company....however, that plan failed. Pickle died a month or two later. :(

I can't believe Pickle died! That is so sad! I don't want to call Blinkie a bully, but "Blinkie, you were a bully!" :mad: (but you're so darn cute!! - not that being cute makes everything okay. . . .) :)

I hope, as you do, that Blinkie will get along with Ozzie. Blinks is King Tut in budgieland, that's for sure! I still love him! :D

I think that he doesn't mean to be a bully. He's used to his shiney friends (mirrors, spoons, photo frames, etc) and he bashes those like crazy with no reaction. So he's figuired that's how you treat other 'budgies' and the living budgies don't like this treatment....suprisingly, can't think why! :p

That would certainly explain his behaviour. He's used to having control! Well, maybe he needs to be introduced to a much larger bird so he can be put in his place . . . oops, did I say that? I didn't mean it! :o

Gotta love Blinks!! I sure do!! :D He is very charming and photogenic.

I just thought i'd put for anyone new reading this that the introduction between Ozzie and Blinkie went GREAT, they're now the best of friends and i'm still Blinkie's favourite! :D It really is something special watching two budgies you love dearly interact with each other but still want to know you!
