Hello! :)
I decided to make a few toys for Peanut today, and I realized that this one toy can be used as a budgie toy as well :)
I call it, the "Flower Buster" :D
(Not sure how I came up with the name.)
Materials:
Okay, so, first you will need am empty toy chain. If you have an old toy that has that metal chain on it (usually has a bell on the bottom as well), that works great!
Next is a bell if your toy chain doesn't already come with one.
Assorted or one color tissue paper! Make sure the dye is food coloring.
One large wooden or acrylic bead.
Okay, so, we cut up the tissue paper like so:

We take one strip, and just bring the ends together. Don't fold!

Repeat and just bring the ends together. Remember not to crease!

Make a small fold where the ends are at and snip out a small hold in the middle.

Put the chain through the hole you just snipped out

Voila!

Just continue those steps with the tissue paper until it looks a little something like this

On the top, I added a wide rawhide disc for a little extra fun. You can use other things, such as beads, wood chip, etc. Be creative!

Here's another toy I made for Peanut, as he loves the noise the acrylic make. He also likes to pull those little connections and use them as foot toys :)

And some bonus pictures: Peanut kept trying to play with the toys I was making for him, so I had to supply him a mountain of foot toys to keep him busy :)
