Hello,
My name is Patricia, but lately, and because of my niece, everyone calls me Tisha. I just got my budgie yesterday for my husband as a birthday gift. I don't have much experience with birds, except for a parakeet I had when I was single for a while and I had to give him away because he was too mean, even to my dog, and now with chickens.
My budgie's name is Blue. And it is not as a cliche... we picked his name from a movie. I don't know if you've watched it, but a few years ago there was a movie called Old School with Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell. When they were doing the initiation, there was a very old man that the character played by Will Ferrell would call "Blue". There was a somewhat famous line in the movie when he called the old man "You're my boy Blue!!" Well, that got stuck in our head and we both thought of it at the same time while thinking of a name for a new budgie. So that's what it is now! BLUE :D .
