Could someone please tell me if it's okay to delete photos from my image file once I've used them in my signature. avitar, and posts?
I didn't know if I deleted photos from my file, if I would have blank boxes where my photos once were. :S
I am looking forward to hearing back from someone.
Thanks,
Donna

If you mean a image file on your computer then yes you can as your images are now hosted on the web.
But if you mean in a image hosting account then no do not delete. I wouldn't advise you to delete from your computer really just in case the images are removed for no reason or expire if your image hosting website does that.
But it's up to you. ;)

Zarrion, (or anyone else who would like to answer)
What I mean is, we have "Image Hosting" on this site which is located in the settings above. I have uploaded photos to "My Images" which is a file on this site. The photos that are stored in that file are the ones that I am wondering about.
If I delete photos out of there (that I am done using and will no longer use again) will I end up with only blank boxes in the areas where I once posted those photos?
I would think I would have to delete some of my photos from that file in time, or else I'll end up going over my storage limit. From what I understand, we are only allowed only a certain amount of storage space on this site.
I am concerned that I will lose my signature photo, avitar photo, and other photos that I have posted on this site if I delete the photos out of the "my image" file.
Some people use photobucket and other web sites to host their photos but I never have. I just upload them from this site by using the image hosting feature that this forum provides.
I guess I could just delete some photos from the image file and see what happens, but I just don't want to go through all of the work of uploading the photos again if they disappear from areas where I still want the photo to exist.
Anyway, clarification would be great on this subject and I'll gladly wait on an answer before I do anything.
Thanks,
Donna

Donna I think if you do delete them they will turn up as broken image links. If your images in posts and topics are old or archived then go ahead and delete them. Remember that you can look elsewhere for another image host with capcity. :)
But you may get a little confused, but I don't. ;)
