Hi Everyone I'm Avril and I live in country Victoria the second most southern State of OZ on the East Coast.
At present I am setting up my avairies to house my budgies as I am just getting back into breeding them for my own pleasure as I can't part with any of them.
In the past I have owned about 50 or 60 Budgies but unfortunately I had to stop breeding them and give them away to good homes that were hand picked by me.
Now that I have the time to be able to give them my full attention there will be no stopping me.
I also have light sussex chooks, muscovy ducks, Elizabeth ducks, fish, wild animals like koala, wombat kangaroo and emus that are in this area, we also have a beautiful river that rans down the back of our property.
There are White cocatoos, galahs, kookaburras, magpies, crows, plovers, blue wrens and native finches so I live in a very pretty place.
Looking forward to talking and reading all about budgies.

No, they're not the same. Cockatiels are the little cute ones with the weeny crest (super cute!), there are loads of different types of cockatoos but the most common around canberra at least is the sulfer crested cockatoo:
