what does this mean??

ok so my bird, ever since i got her, she makes this little "pssh" sound a lot, it sounds like sneezing. i dont know what it is though. can someone tell me what sneezing sounds like for a bird, or if shes sick??

Star does this often to. It's usually just to clear hulls (seed covering) out of thier nostrils, but some people think your bird might be imating a sneeze.

Eddie does it all the time i recon its just a sneeze to get rid of seed dust from their nostrils

Yes my two do it all the time, they did quite a lot this morning. Mind sometimes they sneeze because feathers get caught on their face.

Usually budgies will do that sneeze behaviour when they have dust and are clearing out their nares (nostrils). It is not usually a problem unless it is very frequent and there is discharge coming out of the nares as well.
