So I've been posting a bit on my new froums, and I'd thought I'd post some updates and questions on training at the same time.

They don't run away as NEARLY as much. I've stroked flower on the wings and wing, but, I've only just touched Lucky. He's not too sure of me, after he fel outta the cage from up above when I was trying to give him some millet. I used a towel to pick him as I've read.

Flower is very timid. I've been gentle.

Should I try and do the finger taming trick where I push against her belly to grab my finger?

Or what else should I try?

Hello! im no expert on training, but i would be working on the up & down with the finger. Have you been keeping your hand in the cage for a while and just touch the perches etc., so they get used to your hand? if so, start getting closer to them, and start touching their feet, when they are comfortable with that, start with the up command when pushing into their tummy.
good luck & keep us posted!

One: you are doing a good job, once one likes you the other will learn that you are good

Two: do not push at her belly, just tap it lightly with the side of your finger.

Three: read my article in budgie article section

I don't want to barge the support you're having out but I'm having a little trouble with finger taming.

I went to start taming Bobby again yesterday and I built up some trust with Benny. The problem is as soon as I go near his stomach he bolts his head and opens his beak to peck me and he then warms me off.

He moved after I moved my hand. What shall I do next?

I'm having the same thing with Joey..he sits on my finger no problems but he soon jumps off..I have never scared him well not that I have noticed anyway.. I have only picked him up once and that was when I first got him and had to put him in his cage. I shouldnt let him out of his cage really till he is properly finger trained but he does sit on a perch and that is how i escort him back to his cage. He sometimes stays still whilst i firstly put my finger on his perch and move up slowly to his tummy, he does let me do this but then he will jump off me and go to another part of the cage, its def harder with Joey then it was with Eddie but I am prepared to take it a day at a time and just hope he will learn to trust me 100% but I have heard some birds never do its in there nature love if he wants to be having human contact etc so I am hoping he will change.

That sounds bad. I hope he'll change too!

I've heard that sometimes taking the towel and just holding him, petting him sometimes helps him tame you but...

That sounds kinda cruel. I wouldn't want something the size of a house grabbing me in a towel.

Any hints?

No me either, sure he will tame soon everyday I am getting more and more confidence from him so am sure it wont take too long, he sees Eddie flying to me etc so cannot understand really why he wont maybe he never will i just have to give him more time
