Hi, I found your site while searching to see why one of our budgies likes to open and close her mouth quite frequently. I learned that this is common budgie behavior and nothing to worry about. We have two budgies, Pitta, a boy, and Blackbeard, a girl (named by my son). They are both green and live in a large (27X37 in) cage in our family room. Pitta is sweet and friendly; Blackbeard is nervous and not so friendly. We also have a large mongrel dog and an African clawed frog.

Thanks for welcoming me. I still use a 35mm camera and am not the best at electronic media, so it may take a while before Pitta and Blackbeard's images get posted. It is a gloomy cool day here, so they are napping a lot.
