Referring to this list - does anyone know if its ok to feed them dried chopped herbs that can be used for seasoning food?
i have no clue about that one. i know dried banana and papiya can be. I wouldn't try though unless you dried it yourself cause they could of added stuff to it.

Thanks for the list.
As previously stated, I wouldn't feed any bird french fries really. They're bad enough for us, imagine how bad they might be for a bird. :P

i would say no, they have been dried and really have no nutritional value to them

My budgie isn't afraid of apple of carrot, but he wont bite it when i put it next to his beak. He just looks at it:P Should I put it in his food dish?

i would, chop it up into small squares and put it with his apple
Well chocolate and avacados are BIG no no's.
Karla, make it into a toy, hang it, maybe add some beads. But you would have to take it out everyday because you wouldn't want to give bad fruit to your budgies would you? :D

We have an asparagus fern plant at home, my birds love it. I occasionally give it to them as a special treat.

I have a list from a vet and it says that apricots, garlic, onions and peaches are especially dangerous and can be fatal. But on the other hand it says that only the leaves, seeds, stem and skin of avocado is fatal to birds. These food lists are very confusing. Maybe we should make our own list of foods that we know are safe because we have fed them to our birds with no ill effects. Also at least three different people must have used the food before it is put on the list.
