Photos-Another Budgie Takes The Plunge

Hey Everyone, My newest Budgie jumped right in a took a bath for the first time the other day and now Niblet decided he would try too. :clap: Its funny how Niblet and Beaker both watched my newest Budgie take the plunge and now they are trying it. I know that Beaker would probably have taken a bath also, but Niblet and the new Budgie kept chasing him away. Oh well, Beaker did take a bath ONCE (when I first got him) and so now, all 3 of my little guys have actually taken a bath!!!!

And guess what???? The same day Niblet took his bath (a couple of days ago) I also took each one of my Budgies out of the room, (one at a time, using millet) and I got them to sit on my shoulder as I walked from room to room around the house. All I did was periodically hold up some millet for them to nibble on as I softly talked to them and they didn't even try to fly off my shoulder. It was so neat!!!! And I was even able to give my newest Budgie lots of kisses on the head and back as I walked and talked with her. She didn't even act scared. :love: Something else that amazed me was that the newest Budgie didn't even try to fly off my shoulder as I walked towards the cage when we entered her room. That's a miracle in itself. Anyway, I am really excited about how well my birdies are coming along and they continually amaze me with what they are learning and doing. :D

These photos were a little hard to get, considering I was holding the dish of water in one hand (Trying not to spill it and having to hold up the weight of my bird) and then trying to focus my big ole heavy camera and hold it with the other hand.

That's great! I'm so glad things are working out well for you and your little sweeties! Isn't great how you can often get your budgies to do something new when one of them decides to give it a shot first? Those pictures are absolutely adorable! ;)

it really is funny how they do what the others do. I had a bird bath in the aviary FOREVER, and no one would touch it, unless to get a drink! I added 2 new birds, they hoped straight in, and within 2 days, they all were! same goes for the veggies, pellets etc. one does it, they all do it!
