New Babies

Born on August 13th (while we were in Ecuador). Imagine our pleasure, on returning, to find four healthy, LARGE Westie puppies had been born to our Female, Norma. After our vacation plans had been confirmed, and most of it had been paid for in advance, we discovered Norma's due date was the day we were to leave for South America. We boarded her with our wonderful vet and she came through with flying colors. One Female and three Males. Their temporary names are: Cynthia (for the beautiful Cynthia Viteri - presidential candidate in Ecuador, Coto (for Cotopaxi - the perfectly formed volcano there), Tungu (for Tungurahua - the volcano that blew while we were there and caused us to have to alter our travel plans) and Chimbo (for Chimborazo - the world's highest active volcano - also in Ecuador). YES, we loved Ecuador. Can't wait to go back.

Some friend's of mine spent 3 weeks in Brazil this summer, spent time in the Pantanel (not sure on the spelling) and they visited a large waterfall (can't remember the name of the place) they were all over really...had a wonderful time...took thousands of pictures...gorgeous too...They'll be giving a presentation to our bird club during the first of the new year. I can't wait!
