How do you coax your budgie out of the cage for some exercise time? Tiki still seems timid about leaving his cage. Pls advise!:)

What you can do is put Tiki's cage on the floor, take off the top part and put it aside (out of site). Then you can use your hand (with a cloth covering it) and sort of usher Tiki towards the floor. When Tiki lands on the floor, take the top part of the cage away and place it out of site (otherwise your budgie will likely just run or fly right back to its cage).
As far as exercising Tiki once out of the cage, you can work on step-ups with a perch or your finger and/or have a playgym of some sort to get your little budgie climbing. If Tiki will step up onto a perch, or onto your finger, you can kind of drop the perch (or your finger) fairly quickly so that Tiki will take flight. Then you can repeat it a few times.
I hope this helps and I would love to hear how it goes!!
Good tip Budgiekin. I've got one to. Its a bit like yours.
Take the bottom off and hold the top in the air then put your hand in and encourage your budgie out, then he should fly underneath.
Once you have been doing this for a while he will fly under immediatly.
