Ok, I downloaded Paint.NET and I've been trying to figure it out. I was fiddling with a photo of a cute baby budgie sitting on a thumb and then I accidentally clicked something and this happened...

How did I do it? I haven't a clue. But I think I clicked the bucket icon for god knows what reason and that happened. I'm quite pleased with it. But if anyone knows how to make beautiful siggies with cute backgrounds, like Hinamori, PLEASE elighten me. :D

EDIT - I can do text! Wow!

You hit the paint bucket that fills in the background like it is. On your tool bar, click on Layers, then go to in import from file. This is when you find a background from the internet or you have a picture already saved you want as a background. Just play around with it and it will make some great siggy's. don't forget to use your tools, you can find out each one by clicking on help and looking up that tool. If you don't like what you just did, click on edit, undo and it will take you to the last thing you did.

Here is a siggy I just made on paint.net.

When you fill in parts of the picture use the tool (paintbrush), make sure your color wheel is on the color you want to use. To change them, click on the top square and click on a color and it will change, then do the bottom square and it will change too if you pick a color. Then go to the top of your page where it says Brush Width, and change it to as big as you want to color in your background. It will go small or big...then use your square or circle pattern to move it around to fill in your picture.

To put text into your picture use the A buttom and then click where you want text and it will appear, here again, you your width to make it as big as you want.

To pick a colorr that is on your bird or something else , use the color button that looks like an eye dropper, click on the item you want the color from then use the width again to make it as big or little as you want and move it around to change colors

If you make a mistake, you can use your eraser, the pensil with the eraser buttom

The Bucket is for filling in larger areas.

Maginification symbol is to enlarge your photo

The different shaps that are like ropes, use them to click on an area and make it that shape, then color it or text in it.

The clone buttom looks like a scraper, use it to clone the same thing, click on it, then click on an item you want identical and it will clone it for you

Lines and curves are just like they say, use them to make lines to seperate things or curses in your photo,

make sure you work in your work space, if you move it, then it will be lost, also remember if you like something, save it before you try something else.

I hope this helps out with the tools. Good Luck, I'm anxious to see what you come up with.

the shapes on the bottom of your tool bar are for sayings...it will be a solid shape

The hand, is to move things around in your picture if you want it in a different area

I can't remember what the magic wand is for, just play around with it

Remember when your done with your photo, save it as a jpg because talk bugies won't accept pdn files from paint.net.
