I am discouraged because I have been working very hard and trying to DOWNSIZE my photos before I place them on the forum and although it shows the downsized photo before I draw it in to the "My Image" file, when I post it on my signature, it comes out large again.

Can someone please instruct me as to how I can downsize my photos to the 150X300 Pixels that is the regulation size on this site???? I have redone my photos so many times that I finally got discouraged and removed them all.

Also, I know of a couple of places like photo bucket and tinypic.com that people use, but I am afraid to try and use those sites because I don't want my photos to become something that other people steal or use for their own use. If I used a site like that, do they keep my photos online for others to see or use???? That is what has kept me from going there. I just want my photos to remain mine (without sounding selfish) because I do photography and I don't want others stealing my work.

Also, why would my photos I downsized to 150 PX go large again once I load them to this site. I don't get it.

Any help I could get would be appreciated. I would rather downsize my own photos if it's not to lengthy to explain. I thought the decrease and increase function on the box where I place my photo codes would work but evidently the increase and decrease is not for that. The box also has a "Switch Editor Mode" but when I clicked on that, all of my coding disappeared.

Help, Help, Help!!!!

Thanks,
Donna

Well Gee,

I feel really embarrassed about now! :o I posted a message saying I was in desperate need of help because I had spent lots of time trying to downsize my photos for the site's regulations and then after posting my frustration and asking for HELP, I figured out how to do it on my own through a program I have.

Isn't that the way it goes????

It's okay though, if you have another way for me to downsize pictures through this site, please let me know anyway. It would save me time by doing it that way.

I'm feeling much better now. :)

I'm glad to hear you figured it out. :P For future reference, you could always upload to Tinypic without having to worry about other people using your photos. As far as I know, there's no way of viewing the photos there like a photo album. The only way someone else can view your photo is if they know the URL to it. So you can feel safe uploading them.

Thanks Dave, for your response. I know you're busy and I didn't want to overload you with more to respond to until I tried my hardest to figure it out on my own. I almost wrote you first since I saw that you did picture resizing but I decided to just place my question on the forum and let someone else answer it so that you could have a break from so many questions.

I appreciate your help. :)

I know how you feel! I was saying the same thing when I first joined. I cant remeber who, They told me to go get a photobucket.com acct. Like this
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/5shannon/budgies5onchain.jpg
http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/5shannon/th_budgies5onchain.jpg (http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/5shannon/?action=view&current=budgies5onchain.jpg&refPage=20&imgAnch=imgAnch31) once you click on to site and set up your acct. You can browse and download your photos from your computer to photobucket. Once you've done that. Than all you have to do is right click the url than right click paste into your message on the forums. Or right click on the picture in your photobucket and than right click paste like I did above. Its easy fast and fun. You never have to worry about sizeing your pictures. I step my mom threw over the phones and she loves it. You can also do the same when your e-mailing friends and family. They love it. Its better than waiting for the picture to fully download. All you do is click in and click out. Just remeber if you delete your picture from photobucket you can no longer see it in the e-mails/ or forums you put it on. Good luck with it. Let me know what worked for you.
