carrots

i take carrots from the store and smush them up my birds love them. i have seen from pictures though that birds have orange all over them .. my birds dont get orange all over them what kinda of carrots are you using?

LOL! Some budgies just get really into their food! :p Blinkie can eat a carrot stick without turning orange, special budgie talent i reckon! ;)

Ah yes, the orange feather issue! I am all too familiar with it. Skyla used to love bathing in her grated carrots, but ever since I changed the dish to a smaller and narrower one, she hasn't been able to bathe in them. (She still gets carrots on her cheek feathers once in a while).

Billy and Lily like eating their carrots and occasionly get orange cheek feathers to!

I just wish carrots were pink, then they would go much better with their colouring!

I wish I had pictures of Budgie on my computer. She'd get really into carrots. She did a better job chopping a carrot up than a food processor could do! After she was done she'd be all orange. And even if she didn't eat the carrot, she'd still stand and guard the carrot so no one else could eat it.
