Is it normal for a budgie's cere and beak to peel a little bit every now and then? My budgie's cere doesn't look crusty, but there is definitely a little bit of peeling that I noticed yesterday. Is this some sort of vitamin deficiency? or the early stages of mites? He is acting healthy otherwise, and not scratching it or anything. Hopefully, it is nothing!

Some peeling is normal. Much like our skin peels, a budgies cere/beak will peel on occasion as well. If the peeling starts to take on a honeycomb-like appearance, then it could be the early stages of mites. For now, I would simply keep an eye on your little sweety....;)
