fruits and veggies

Hi. Does anyone have any tips on getting budgies to eat fruits and veggies? My budgie, Phinny, seems to be really picky. I got him bird grass that grows in the cage and he loves that, but otherwise he's pretty stubborn. Any ideas? What are some of your budgies' favorite fruits and veggies?

Is he tame? My budgie Blinkie is kinda picky in his cage too but if he's out and i start munching on some carrot sticks or something he'll come right over to 'steal' my food. ;)

Haha. That sounds adorable! Phinny is tame, but he still seems very uncomfortable outside of his cage. Hopefully, with time, he will become more trusting - especially if he might be more likely to try healthy foods outside of the cage. I've only had him for about 6 weeks.

Cuteness right there, Bea! My birds aren't that picky, but when it comes to fruits and veggies, they are.

At first my Edie didnt like fruit or veggies but every other day I would continue to put it in her cage and now she is fine. I tend to give mine it in small amounts as I dont want them to get upset tummys xxx
