I have just finally convinced my parents to get a new cage and it's HUGE!:):D ! I'll post pcs as soon as possible, its too dark ow to get a good photo, and when i tried to take one it looked a lot smaller than it actually was. Unfortunately the budgies(george - Male and Buddy - Female) are not moving around the bottom half of the cage:mad: !
As it's breeding time in Australia I decided to add in the nestbox. Last time she kept on laying infertile eggs so i hope they're fertile this time!
I was wondering if a cocketiel and a budgie could live together, like in the same cage. Coz it would be cool to have a cocketiel again:)
:budgie: :budgie:
Only if you had a huge aviary would Budgie and Cockatiel live together, even if you had that, I wouldn't recommend it. The Budgie would annoy the tiel, so I'd keep them separate.
Can't wait to see the new cage, and I hope you het some fertile eggs!

looking forward to the pics buddy
they will move around the whole cage soon, its all very new to them
no, dont house them together, budgies are big bullys!!!
Buddy if they were laying infertile eggs are you sure you have male and female? They could have been on the wrong diet or something that works for me with my last pair...A breeder showed me pluck some feathers from around the vent so that they could fertilize better sometimes feathers stop the action and you will have more babies its actually true!It worked I was having 2 babies each time out of 9 eggs than I plucked them and I had 6.

Do you pluck them from the male or female?
Both...It helps alot and it dosen't hurt them really its just feathers and down no pins or anything like that just around the vent...:D

Sorry cant get pics yet:( , STupid phone/camera:mad:
Ones definitely a Male, for sure. Its coz my female's soo dominant, if George iss eating she just comes up and pecks him of the food dish, she bosses him around so much. Something tells me she wont let him mate with her, but hopefully with this new larger cage she might let him.
Ill try to get some decent pics! thanx for posting!
