She loves her new homemade toys!

My little girl Laia loves the new toys that I made for her. All I used were beads, bird safe string and very few pieces from other old toys that she had. Right now she is throwing that toy around the cage and chirping sooo much especially when the toy gets stuck on the other side of the perch. I don't have pics right now because they are currently in use. I just wanted to post this to say to all people who love to buy their birds new toys, first try to make a simple toy with bird safe stuff you already have. I guarantee they will like it better. Laia isn't even paying attention to all those expensive toys in the cage which mommy isn't too happy with because she spent money but oh well.

That's great that you made some toys! Would love to see them when you get a chance. I've heard several people say their birds prefer the handmade toys or just simple bird safe things from around the house better than the store bought toys. :rolleyes::)

homemade is better! dad and I made a really sweet swing for my birds, it has a really branch! i like to just use native australian plants as well! they dont last to long though :P

mine dig just a couple beads and a string, They'll move the beads on ones w/ more beads to get to the string lol

I tell you they're like a little kid opening a gift, Toss the toy aside and they'll play with the box for days

the simplest things entertain them :D

Mine will only play with homemade toys:p The one with the bell is their favorite. They mainly like me buying the bigger expensive beads:o
