Help!!!!!!!!!

Ok well today I went to this pet shop because my friend was buying a rat yes a rat haha. I saw this bird and he/she was partly bald with no feathers. Its neck and most fo his/ her wings didnt have feathers. I wanted to buy it and help it. Is this a sick bird or is it malting. How bad does birds get when they malt ?
As bad as the wing feathers and neck feathers gone ?
Plz help and thank you :(

Well...did he/she have many toys? because if it didn't maybe he/she's been plucking cause they do that when they get bored.

when molting they have the feathers already when they lose the others .... and snowy is right.....:o

the bird did have toys but it looked bad so its final tomarrow im getting the bird

I thought when birds pluck there feathers with toys in the cage they are stressed is that true?

it is ......but there are other reasons they can pluck their feathers too.......umm i would get her checked out by an avian vet....as soon as possible....she might have Giardia which can be passed on to humans and other animals.....remember to quarentine it for 30-35 days before letting it be introduced to other birds..
quarentine means its in a seperate cage and room from your other birds just in case of illness!!!:eek:

I already looked up a couple of things for stressed birds. I just hate how the pet store lets it get that way without getting it checked out or looked after or anything

But its better to let it die in the pet shop that would be sad thankx for the help :P
