As you all probably know (here's the thread if you don't http://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=18993 ) Our member Budgiefinder had a budgie dumped on her doorstep. Due to lack of funds, all extra $ went to the vet visit, so if any of you have extra toys, etc, and you are able to mail them, that would be great!!! She is located in Washington State (tacoma area) so West Coasters would be great to keep postage costs down, but of course, we won't say no to anyone! LOL
Please pm BudgieFinder to get the address! http://talkbudgies.com/member.php?u=4533
Thanks again to anyone who can help out!

Can you be more specific as to what you need? Just toys? Do you have a cage and perches? Water/food dishes, etc?

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone! :)

I do have a water and food dish, as well as about 3 toys that was in the cage when I found her.
I have some food, should last for a while. She has a swing, and two peches, but the perches are way too big for her feet! They make her basically flat footed. :( That's what the vet said. I can get pics of them and her cage if that would help you? As well as all the things I have. :) Not right now, I have to borrow a camera, but I can get it by the end of the day today. Maybe that would help.
I have a cage for her (though the shape is a bit strange) and I would like to buy her a new cage, but that doesn't have to be now. I can wait till I actually have the money myself to get that one. :)
What I need, is toys. Especially the rope kind. All the toys she has are plastic and I think she may be bored with those.
I am trying to work with this, I made a food/toy thing. Rolling a paper towel roll in some peanut butter then in the bird seed, cooled it a bit, and I hung that up in her cage. Plus there's those DIY things that I should have the materials laying around the house somewhere, like string tissue and seed.
I had to build her a stand for the cage to sit on, cause where it is is not working at all. My frog cage is making it difficult to get to her cage at times and I can't move the frogs because of the way they are set up. But I used some scraps of wood I had leftover from my last customer and used the machines they have at the wood shop. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but I made it fast with what I had left, and it will work for her cage at least. It's steady and won't shake.
My only problem is I have no wood left to make any new toys at the moment. I don't have any rope either. So if I could get maybe 2 or so toys at least, that would be great. I could change out the toys she has so she won't be so bored.
I might be able to beg someone at the shop for some thinner dowels to give her a perch or two that isn't so big. I'll see about that later today. Maybe someone would even give me materials to make a ladder! IDK, wood is kinda expensive and what they make money from, so I don't know if they'd give it to me for free. I'll have to see today. :)

Nah, dowels are super cheap at Michaels and Walmart. We make a lot of swings around here so we always have them around. Okay so it's basically toys, toys, toys! Just like kids!! They get bored within a week ;) I won't be able to get out of the house till the weekend. I'll see what I can come up with then. You're super sweet to take that precious bird in. I hope he makes a nice bond with you soon.

Thank you!!! :) Yup, I think what I really need is toys for the girl! :)
I appreciate it a lot, everything helps! :) Thanks! I hope she warms up to me a bit more too, but my biggest hope right now is she get's healthy and gains some weight :) When she's healthy, we have all the time in the world to get to know each other. :) Even if she's never tame, I'd be happy if she was healthy and happy. :)

I'm sorry but I can't send anything right now as my husband has been out of work for like a month now. But I was wondering for those that might be able to help if you have a cuttlebone, mineral block, and millet? As those are important especially the millet if you're trying to get her to gain weight.

Thank you for bringing that up!! I knew I forgot something! I have a few millet and one cuttlebone, but she doesn't seem interested in the millet at all right now.
I do not have a mineral block, and the only cuttlebone I have is a bit, icky. But she's not suppose to get the cuttle bone right now due to the medication. So that's fine.
And I'm sorry to hear your hubby is out of work! I really know how that is, I'm currently unemployed looking for a job too! But it seems there are so many people looking for a job and so few jobs! :( I hope he finds a job soon! Goodluck to him! :)
