Help! My sweet mannered Tiki is turning into a little monster! Lately for no good reason Tiki has begun to bite at me, very hard! Not sure if I spoiled him too much initially by finger feeding him water & treats and this is his way of asking for it or not. One moment I can softly pet him and then the next he fixes his eyes on my finger and then just goes to town, bite, bite, bite!!! AWWW, my feelings are hurt. What did I do wrong. By no means is Tiki scared or startled when this happens, nor is it time for bed. I don't get it. Help!:sadparty:

maybe he just wants some space... how old is your bird. might be going through his teens

Not sure of exact age but I believe 6-8 months....I have been gone all day and went to greet Tiki went it occurred, and when it typically happens. It's not like I am over indulging him with attention which is why its so baffling....

Try to ignore the bites and maybe he wasn't handled when he was young. For more help on biting type ignore in the search box to see some other threads on biting.

Eddie my budgie does that to me too and I have no idea why, I just say Noooo and he soon stops.x
