this may not be new, just new to my own thinking at the very least .. haha
everyone knows that it is easier to tame a second bird if the first one is tame to begin with, but, what happens if the flip was the case. if you were to get a 2nd budgie at a young age (BABY), he would certainly be much easier to tame. once you tame the 2nd one, would it not be logical that the first would follow the 2nd's example?
i've been thinking about this for a while now.. ok, just on the long commute today due to construction but still... for all those people with stubborn budgies and ones that are older and harder to tame, why not try going for a younger easier one and then re-training the first one with the 2nd. once the first one realizes that the new budgie is getting along so well with you, he will just be compelled to try to get close to you.
well just curious what others think or if anyone has tried this. i havent encountered a budgie that was too stubborn to tame as of yet so i havent been able to test this out to see its results.
and on a different matter all together, does anyone know any breeders in Massachusetts, preferably near central MA. i don't like the idea of long commutes with a budgie in the car, especially in the heat these days. my budgies in the past have been petco or petsmart ones and while there isn't anything wrong with them, i have never tried to breed budgies nor ever had one that was very young and would love to see what its like.
