Awww, they're very sweet. We had rats for a couple of years and gave them away. I can visit them if I want, but I haven't in awhile. I miss them, but I don't miss the upkeep! Our rats were huge. I eventually had to put them on a diet. Their names are (the new owner kept the names the same) Benny and Stanley. When my son gets home from his summer vacation, I'll maybe have him help me post pictures if you want. Rats are very,very sweet. People just don't know...

Rabbits and ginnies come from the same family as rats. :p All ginnies would need is a long tail and they would be rats!! LMAO ;)

The thing I don't like about rats is the way they feel when you hold them. they seem "boneless" eww.

i have two male rats, splinter and crusher. they are wonderful. they are joined by two budgies, 6 fish in a tank, and a betta fish. i have just about the biggest zoo that my apartment will allow! i would have had a cat before anything else (well, i already had the fish for a long time) but my poor boyfriend is extremely allergic to them. but its okay, my dad has three cats, so he can sneeze up a storm while i enjoy my kitties at his house.

i got a bunny when i was about 12. he is 8 years old, and for a run of the mill pet store bunny, he is an oooold man! but the poor guy has a lot of health problems that my dad knows how to take care of (this man will spend thoundands on animal care before he even considers getting himself medicine) so bunny will continue to live the rest of his life at my old house, where he has always been. he is so spoiled. knowing my dad, this rabbit may very well outlive me. heh.

when the ratties do pass away, which hopefully will not be for a few years (i guess 2+ years is a long time for them, which si unfortunate), i may consider another rabbit or possibly a guinea pig. that is, of course, if the apartment complex does not allow dogs by that time, which they would really like to do. if thats the case, my bank account is as good as dead. i am addicted to my zoo :cool:

My boyfriend got one rat about 2 weeks ago and fell inlove and he got another one to make sure the first one stays happy thats so sweet on what i think. Epic and frostmore is there names and sadly enough they kinda fight and they are both scared of each other :( but soon they will get use to each other. The funny thing is he got them from the same littler to so they are brother and sister

They say always buy rats and pairs and they will get along fine... I don't fine this to be true at all. I had to females together they fought all the time. I had two males together they fought all the time too. If I'm going to keep rats I usaully keep 4 or more togther. Or just one alone. One rat by it self is fine as long at you spend enough time with it. I didn't notice they have less when they are in group of 4 or more.

i like girbils and i think rats are kind of the same so i guese that i like rats too. i like freckels.i always wanted a bunny . opps, i almost forgot about your keets. there cute.
