growth below beak?

Gus has a growth immediately below his beak, i'm not sure if it is normal or not. it is like a little thing that is about 3-5mm long and whiteish in colour, do all budgies have this? it doesn't seem to bother him and i'm not sure if it is growing or not. he is still active and loves to play. i also spray him for mites every week or two.

any clues? i hope it is nothing.

Hi, can you post a picture of it? As chalky had the same thing and bea suggested that it was a skin tag, and it turned out it was and its fallen off now!!

It coud be a skin tag, a picture would help, if you don't have one, you could search for one like it on Google images.

googling budgie diseases usually will get you some wonderful sites with very good (very disturbing and sad too) pictures to give you an idea of what to watch out for.
