View Full Version : Need help with a small aviary cage
I am considering buying the cage pictured below, but my concern is: How sturdy the bottom of this cage is? The stand I have is smaller so not the entire bottom of the cage will sit on the stand.
Is the bottom sturdy enough or flimsy?

I used to have a cage like that. Yes it is sturdy enough. I know nothing about your stand so don't know how it will work with the cage. Do you have a photo of the stand?

I've got one in purple, I've only had it sitting on top of a dresser but it's not as flimsy as it looks, i've dropped the tray a couple times on a tiled(not the hard tile but the other stuff i can't spell it to save my life it comes in big rolls LOL)floor and it didn't break
I've got a nest box attached to it now, using one of the food dish doors - and i've lifted the entire cage just by the handle and the bottom wire didn't budge
which i thought it would since the nest box is heavy and puts pressure on the base of the cage but it didn't.

I have that same cage in black and i think it works great and is plenty sturdy. Its the cage Pippin is in now and Mikko will soon be joining him.
