Hello Newbie Here!

This is Turtle one of many keets I have hand raise. As you can see he has splayed legs. Before Turtle I never knew such a thing could happen to birds. So I am a lot more aware when raising my other keets. He lives a normal life and can actually fly and land really well. He just had a birthday on 6.29.06. He is one year old.

This is Mellow. She is a Lutino. Don't let her pretty face fool you. Even though she was handed raise. She doesn't like people. And can be a bit of a snob at times. She will be 1 years old on 8.6.06

This a Zim & Sango a pair I am planning to breed. But not just yet. Sango is not finger tamed but Zim is. He is another keet I hand raise. I think like his dad he will make a good father. But when the time is right.

This is my breeding pair. Baby and is mate. Who til this day is still nameless. I hand raise baby since he was two days old. He was rejected by his mother. He is pushing 5 years old. I'm not sure hoe old his mate is she was a gift from my grandmother. She is a great mom. But she is not friendly at all. She likes to bite to kill.

This is an English Budgie I have who is also nameless. I had hopes to breed her. But I don't think she will ever want to breed. Her cere has looked like she was in breeding mode only once. In this picture.

Awwww welcome you ahve alot of budgies a big flock!My names Joey welcome to the forums I only have 3 budgies and a cockatiel.Perhaps you could help me with my budgies?They are not mating could you write in my other post "Whats the Problem!" I love your lutino!:)

Welcome to the forum!! We're so pleased you decided to join. I love your budgies! Turtle is so adorable, even with the splayed legs. I'm glad she is doing well. I have a budgie, Skyla, who has one wing (we had to amputate it because of a tumour), so I know what it is like to have a "special needs" budgie.

Sounds like you've got a lot of experience with budgies. Hopefully you can share your expertise with everyone here! :p

Welcome Cyn:wave1: I just have to say that Turtle is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He must be adorable when he does his weeble wobble thing from side to side.

Just out of curiousity can he get around any other way besides flying? Ex. can he wobble to a destination, use his beak, etc.?

Turtle is very mobile. He climbs all around the cage and when he is on the bottom of the cage or on my bed he uses his beak to grad then drag his body across the ground. His favorite thing to do is just hang upside down hold on with one leg just swinging back and forth. He does that sometimes for hours at a time.
