Ok well this is the first day but, I always freak out the first day with new pets and I did with aeris too lol but, this is unusual. I put my hand in the cage and she let me pet her stomach. She didnt move at all she just let me pet her. Is she sick maybe ?!?!?!? or just extremely easily tamed? Or maybe she just expresses fright by freezing and I scared her and she stayed still. I dont know can someone please let me know if this is natural? because aeris did the same thing and she died after about 2 or 3 weeks [we think broken neck but not positive in case you didnt read my other post] Im hoping shes just easily Tamed :) I bet thats a little too much to hope for though lol.

its not unusual for them to 'appear' tame the first day or two. you might say they are frozen stiff from shock. once they settle down a bit and get over their initial shock and fear of the new environment, they generally go back to being a bit more jumpy at the sight of human hands. so don't be surprised if after a few days, he seems more jumpy and afraid of you. however, if he sees enough of you in the first few days, you might just get lucky and have him tamed :-). go slow and don't push anything. its easy to get over excited and try to do too much. all birds are different, so go at its pace. good luck. hope it is just really tamed and will continue to be :-)

She might have just been in shock. Just talk softly to her, and walk slowly by her cage often so she can get used to you. Give her the first day or so to get used to you. She might turn out to be tame, or she could start being jumpy and such.
Good luck with her!

I think you should be patient for 1-2 days, without changing his cage's location, remove anything that might scare him around the cage even loud tv or music might stress him. slowly talk to him with a gentle sound. Let him recognise you a bit. allow the bird to get used to new envioinment and calm. then begin to put your hand in the cage. If you are lucky your bird will get used to your hand and you in a short time, I hope you luck because its been 1,5 years and my bird is still scared of my hand lol :D...

some birds are like that :D

and one more thing, try to put the cage in a high place eg. he can see your head and shoulder. hope it helps..
