When I took Maggie out of her cage I noticed some blood on her wing. I rinsed it off then it had the wings rubbed of in one part. What should I do?

I'm way worried. I mean I just saw dried blood. So I think it started at night. It looks like it rubbed against her cage and got stuck I don 't think its to bad and shes back to normal.

If it's not bleeding any more I guess I'd just let it go for now. She probably just caught a feather in the bars or something. Keep and eye on it and if it gets worse, get her into the vet.

My cockatiel has the same problem she hit her wing underneath on the spot shown on my wing.It was just a small spot of dry blood I washed it down with clean water and it was fine. Its just like a human fally and scraping thier elbow thats what happend with your bird I think.Just wash it off and make sure it dosent get infected check it from time to time.My cockatiels wing healed in about 4 days around that. She hit her wing on my lamp shade in my bedroom.

if it continues to bleed rub flower gently on the spot, this will help clog the wound and help it heal ^^ no need to wrry if its not a bad bleed though.

I think all budgies naturally had a slight red bit there, but sometimes the feathers rub it and it bleeds easily. You can see the red bit nearly all the time on Lily as she is albino, they get redder when they have been flying for a while.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure about it, In fact I think I saw it in my budgie book I was reading last night. I read 4 chapters! He he!

Washing it was the right thing, just don't rub it or wipe it too vigorously or you'll set it off bleeding again.
