Acrylic playgyms!

What is everybodies opinions on acrylic playgyms? Do you think they are a good investment or should I go with something else? Need Advice!!

Acrylic playgyms are pretty much the same as wood playgyms but they may be easier to clean and can last longer ( a wooden playgym can last just as long if properly kept). When buying one, try to find a medium-sized one because all the ones I've seen made specially for parakeets are too small for the budgie to actually get any exercise. :)

Super easy to clean.
Real Slick for bird footing.
-0- chance of chewing distruction.
Hope some wooden toys could be hung, that's part of a toy satisifaction for a bird to be able to destroy it/a few.

It's pretty, but I think it would be very slick for your birds.
What ever you do DO NOT DROP IT! LOL

There was a lady demoing an acrylic show box. Sucker was heavy! She was going on about how easy it was to clean etc. She tried to pick it up - it slipped out of her hand and shattered like glass. Can you emagin what could have happened to a poor bird if this had been at a show? PLUS those boxes are VERY expensive!

WOW great playgym. If I could turn back time I'd get an acryllic play gym. It is so much easier to clean and I reckon it looks nicer.

the playgym Pixie's Mom is showing is the same one that I have. It's actually sized big enough that 'tiels can use it too... so the budgies have a great time on it. all of mine like to be on the gym... even my cage-potato loves to sit in the swings on it. It's laser etched so it's not quite as slippery for them as it looks, but it's still safe for their feet.
