I would love some help with the colour mutations of my budgies!

I have posted this photo of my birds before, but as they are so scared of the camera I haven't had a chance to take new pictures yet.

Fawkes is on the left with Monster on the right.

I think Monster is a Dominant Pied? She is starting to develope an iris ring. About two weeks ago she still had baby bars but is starting to lose that now. What age would that make her approximately? Also, what would being a Dominant Pied mean for her cere? Will it become browny/tan like a normal female?

I think Fawkes is a Recessive Pied? She has no iris ring but she might just be younger than Monster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think you are right about the mutations. Monster has the head spot & the bands of colour for a domiant. My Domiant Violet girl's cere goes brown, so I'm assuming yours will too (actually I think all mutations go brown??)

Fawkes looks like a recessive.

I am bad at ages from pics, But they look fairly young. They still have baby bars and baby eyes. Before breeding you must wait a until they are a year to 14 months old.

from what i've read, females' ceres will turn tan/brown or white/whitish blue, whatever the mutation is. i have a female lutino (that's when they're all yellow with red eyes & pink feet). with lutinos, males ceres will stay pink. but the females always change. i hope that's some help

I have no desire to breed them, I was just curious about their colour.
I'm only a first time budgie owner, and am way to inexperienced to breed budgies!

Thank you for the help! :)

I am not going to be of any help with the mutations, BUT I did want to comment on your sweety little budgies! They look like they've been into the veggies big-time! :p So cute!
