Hi - a noivce budgie owner

Hi. I just a bird for the first time in my life. It is a budgie. Right now he is vocalizing quite loudly and long. I detected some new sounds. I had "Bert" for 3 1/2 weeks now. He likes my shoulder and doesn't like it when I not around. I can't pet him but my husband can. He won't go to my husband's shoulder. We are in the process of getting him a larger cage. He's a funny bird. He accidently bit his foot while playing, so now he is fastinated with his feet. LOL...sometimes he gets so involved with he toys that he falls of his perch! Bert is a typical green color with yellow. He is about 4-5 months old because he still had bands. I guess that's all. I wanted to say Hi everyone.

We all love budgies here and we've got some very knowledgeable budgie owners too! Can't wait to hear more about your sweety Bert! Funny that your husband can pet him but you can't..budgies can be so funny sometimes. :rolleyes:
