Piper's cage at the moment is sitting on a shelf and I am thinking about buying a cage stand to hang her cage from. My question is does anyone else use them, and if so what brand do you recommend?
Thanks
Piper

i have a cage stand and i love it because you dont have to get seeds out from under the cage or clean around it. Also if you get one, you should get a cage that can come of the stand. They are hard to find so you should look online for a while. Hop[e it helps!:budgie:

When my parents raised budgies, they didn't use a stand but rather just hanged the cage up. Therefore, I wouldn't know of any good stand brands. However, this site has good stands that offer free shipping for orders that are more that $25. The stands are charged for pretty good prices.

My cages came with a stand. I don't like the hanging cages for two reasons. Parrots should not be below or above eye level. Below eye level makes them feel threatned or inferior and above eye level they can become territorial and aggressive in some cases. This is just from experience. People do what works for them. Second reason is I would always be afraid the cage might fall.My cages now have regular stands that places the cages at eye level.

I currently have a hanging cage stand, and I wouldn't recommend it. My bird is at eye-level with it but I find it so annoying that when I even just touch her cage it swings a for ages.

I've read hanging cages are just as bad as round cages, they're unsafe, and scare the birds, and as Tia said they constanstly sway back and forth with the slightest touch , so the birds wouldn't feel safe at all

I use old end tables for my cages that don't have a stand, I bought one at a thrift store for 4 dollars and I got one out of some one's trash, the only thing that was wrong with it was the leg needed tightened up and they threw away a perfectly good end table
