Hello, I just had a thought. My budgies cage is always in the family room, where I usually am not. I haven't trained him yet, but I am working on it. I want him to get more used to me. So my question is, is it a good idea to move his cage to where I am around the house? Like if I am in my room doing homework, is it ok to just transport his entire cage to my room? I think this would get him more out of his comfort zone as well. I wouldn't let him out of his cage in my room because I think he may injure himself if he went flying around in here, cause it's kind of small. Advice is always nice :D :budgie: :D

I don't see a problem with moving the cage around with you.

A change in scenery can be very good for your budgie. It helps them adapt to change better.
I have found that moving my budgie's cages around the house has really helped them in the longrun to feel more comfortable in different rooms of the house. I find it also gets them used to "travel"; for example when we bring them to the avian vet in the car, they don't get as stressed out during the trip since they are used to having their cages moved around. Just my thoughts. ;)

Yes, I think moving the cage into different rooms is fine.
I have to cages for Meelah. When I'm doing homework on the computer, I bring her into our computer room in her "travel cage" Then I let her fly around the room. I also bring her on vacation with me when I go away. She is perfectly fine in the car, and love the changes of scenery on the island where I live in the summer. I take her outside a LOT and do that at home sometime too :D
I hope that helped. Take care :D
