Hey everyone! I'm Sarah, and I found this site while searching Google. My reason for joining is because I don't know what to do. My female bird just passed away, and my male bird seems to be mourning. Or is he? That's my problem, and I'd really appreciate your help!!! Thanks!

Hi Sarah, and welcome to the site! We're so happy you decided to join us. I am so sorry to hear about your sweet little girl...egg binding is a fairly common problem in budgies. I would consider getting your male sweety a friend..either male or female would be fine..but be prepared to cage them separately if they don't get along. And if you do get another budgie, don't forget to quarantine your new one for 30-45 days and watch for signs of illness during that time. :p
