I am here today in search of help. My dear budgie, Ticky, died this morning from egg-binding. I need to know what to do with her mate, Ricky. The two budgies were best of friends and have been for over a year now. Because they loved each other so much, neither bird became very attached to their "human" family. Now the female bird is gone, and I don't know what to watch for in the male. He has been a lot quieter since this morning though. But what now? Should I attempt to get him used to another bird? Male or Female? Or would he be ok by himself for a while? Thanks! -Sarah

Ok. Thanks Joey. I was kinda hoping he could go without but... I guess I'll just have to watch him, huh?
No No No don't just go out and get another bird. hold off a bit and give him time to grieve. me may get over this. its now always that case they they won't my friends bird died and she has two as well. he if fine and talking and does everything he would do every day. just hold off. if he gets to depress and then don't want to live then go ahead but you have to do a quarantine 1th
Put it this way........you had a husband or wife one day your husband or wife died and you spent teh rest of your life without a partner?Think about this? How would you feel?A person would most likely find another partner no?I would get another mate if I were you?
