2007 Secret Santa

Talk Budgies is going to be holding our first ever Secret Santa this year! For those who aren't sure exactly what this is, here's how it goes. Participation is optional. If you do choose to participate, you will submit your information (listed below). Once everyone has had a chance to enter, you will be paired up with another member. The other person will not know who you are. You will then send this member a budgie-related gift. If they specify a particular gift, you should first try to get this. In return, someone else will send you a gift for your budgies. Again, you will not know who sends you the gift.

If this interests you, read on to learn more!

- Submissions will be accepted now through November 24 (Saturday). No submissions will be accepted after this deadline.

- You should receive your match by the end of November.

- Try to estimate shipping time so your package will arrive before the holidays.

- Only participate if you are willing (and able) to buy and ship a gift on time.

- The gift price should be no more than $15-20, not including shipping costs.

- Remember that we have members throughout the world. Be sure to keep this in mind when purchasing a gift. International shipping costs can be more expensive than domestic shipping costs. We will try our best to match you to members relatively close to you, but this is not guaranteed. If you do not want to ship internationally, please specify this. If you don't mind shipping internationally, specify this too, as I'm sure we'll need some of you to do this.

Just one thing I'm a bit confused about. Is the is the person that I am sending a gift too, got me to send their gift too as well? Because otherwise it wouldn't be a secret if they knew.... sorry If I'm being a pain lol. :o :S

this is a very cool event if i must say say myself, due to preferences i had to change the few items i had picked out from online buts its all good. i wasnt woundering the partners i was woundering # of peeps that went in on this even like 100 or so. as for partners i dont think the person you have got you

well thats ok but who ever i have :p wont know its from me because of how im having it sent out! chirstmas means snail mail so the sooner the packages the better so the less chance of them getting lost. also it is proably best if we post when we get our package so that way we know who never got a package ect! fun fun 29 day till x-mas

That's not a bad idea. Maybe everyone who participated could post when they got their gift.

it works on a cross stitch forum. they have exchanges and if someone said they would send it out to a certian person and they never get it they are not allowed to participate again for a year or so. i hope we dont have any problems since its our first ever!

In a way, Dave did answer your question Rosie

The budgies absolutely love their present!

It was 3 cotton rope rings all attached and you hang it in our aviary! THEY LOVE IT!!

Also my parents bought a boing for me to give them, they love that too! :P

Pippin’s Mom put a return address on our box and Goofy wrote him a snail mail thank you letter.
He told Pippin who all was going to enjoy the goodies.
Oh and as a P.S. he wants Pippin to know the silly male budgie who's cage needed a toy has had a ball with his Christmas present while his hen has been hard at work in the nest box.
