hi,
i bought 3 chinese (button) quail 5 months ago. I got what i thought was 2 females and 1 male, and they all lived happily together in my aviary. but 2 months ago i found out that one of my "females" was actually a male. the 2 males started fighting over the female as it is mating season. so i took one of my males out of the aviary and put it in a separate cage. i swap the males round every week so they both can see the female. They all seem to be quite happy, the only problem is that the females lower quarters is going bald, as she has too much male attention.
is there any way the males would get on together once mating season has finished.
and also is there anything i could do for my female (her bald lower quarters).
