My first home made toys

this one has had a modification though, it's now on a small ring so he can move it around on his ladder on the play gym while the clip hook is now on the other toy so it can hang in his cage.

I used cotton string but i dunno if it's bad for them or not?

As soon as i hooked it on Speed started playing with it!

I love them they are really cool...isn't it fun to make your own toys...I make my own sometimes too!!!!

Yup it's so fun! And i got so excited when he started to play with them too which is a feeling you don't get when you buy them.

I forgot to ask, I've seen people on her make toys from lolipop sticks, are these the ones from craft shops or do i need a special budgie safe type?

I love the cat balls, we've bought 2 packages of them (they were on sale 4 for a dollar and some change) I've got one tied to the play gym, One tied to the rope perch which is on top of their cage, one on the floor of thier cage ( i hide millet in thier balls - GREAT for foraging), and the tiels have one hanging in their cage and one tied to their perch

I use cotton twine like stuff too ( looks like butchers twine) and mine nibble on it, it hasn't frayed or anything
mine really have more fun with the Strings the toys are attached with then the toys them selfs LOL

just like kids with x-mas gifts would rather play with the boxes then all the new toys :D

i have one on a playgym too, but they dont seem to play with them unless it gets in the way...then they just get mad at it...guess thats fun too!
