Well, I wasn't planning on breeding this Autum, but these 2 thought differently! LOL
It started friday with Katie, she was bleeding from the foot. I pulled her from the aviary, got her cleaned up and put some antibiotic cream on, clipped her nails and put her back. Well Saturday, Lilo was completely bloody on her face, so i pulled her too, cleaned her up and put her back, only to see that Katie was bloody on her face too! I thought, oh my, you little horn dogs, STOP fighting over the boys! So sunday I was filling up the seed dispensers only to find one egg carefully laid in the seed! I knew whos it was, it was Lilo... she spends all her time on there, sitting ontop. I now know why the blood was shed, she was fighting over her "nest box" LOL
I've always wanted to breed an albino, but not sure what the outcome will be from these two! Anyone know the outcome of an albino hen & dom pied cock? Hopefully I will get some 'ino bubs!!! So anyways, I pulled the pair yesterday, they are now in the house with a box and their 1 egg. I dont know if this one will hatch, as i'm not 100% sure when it was laid. She has been in & out of the box a few times, but not at all incubating. So time will tell!

Here is the pair:
Lilo, albino hen

Congratulations. If you want to breed then I suggest you move the pair to a separate cage. Too many times I here of stories where breeding has gone wrong because of other budgies.

Thanks Aly...
I never breed this time of the year, so i'm kind of glad she didn't. No worries, springs right around the corner, maybe she'll get it right next time!
