My gorgeous budgie Joey died a long time ago, but I still won't forget him. I've just joined the forums so I thought I'd put him on here so others could see him.

We got him on 16th February 2003, and on 20th October 2004 we got him a friend, Ronnie. We'd never had 2 budgies before, but it was brilliant. Joey had always bitten, but now Ronnie was there he didn't.
He got ill in January 07. We took him to the vets and they said he had a tumour on his tummy. A couple of weeks later we came home and he'd fallen off his swing. We got him out and he stayed out all afternoon and evening. He'd seemed to be getting better, but in the evening he passed away. 31st January.
We buried him in the garden, and I'm going to plant some flowers there in the spring.
Ronnie's still here, with 2 new friends (Scoob and Jo) but I think he misses him too. He stuck with him to the end, preening him and looking after him.

RIP Joey-I miss you so much.

(Joey's the grey one on his own, then in the other picture he's with Ronnie. The other 2 are Scoobie (green) and Jo.

What a shame!! He was such a gorgeous gray. RIP Joey..
We said to ourselves 6 budgies is enough, but if we ever found a gray like that, we would have to buy him

Hello BeckiC,

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Joey. It's never easy to lose a Budgie no matter how much time has passed, is it? Joey was a beautiful Budgie and I can see why he meant so much to you.

RIP sweet Joey. :(

It is always sad to hear of one of our budgies passing away. We get so attached to them. It is so hard to let them go to the beautiful birdie heaven. May Joey "RIP"

Oh wowy; what a stunning budgie Joey was! I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know that it does take a while for it to sink in that they are actually gone; I have lost three myself. The emptiness eventually tapers and what is left are the fond memories you had of your little sweety. May Joey rest in peace; sweet dreams little guy. ;)
