I've never heard of it. I don't think I even have any budgie books. I'll look into it though.

I did a search on the internet for the Budgie Secrets book and it actually looks pretty good. My guess is that it is targeted at beginning or first-time budgie owners. If you take a look at the kinds of questions that are answered in the book, it seems to cover quite a wide range of them. The book isn't that expensive to order (only $19.97 US plus whatever shipping would be). It really could be an interesting read.

In spite of what I have said above, my feeling is that you could likely find a lot of this information on the internet (as long as it is from a CREDIBLE source), from books available in your local bookstore, from bird magazines or from an avian vet.

Those are just my initial thoughts. . . .

I never thought of getting a book when I first had Edie, I just thought I would do a search on the net to find out everything that I needed to know and thats when I found budgie forums, great for people though who cant access the internet or anything. I like to be on the forums though so you can ask for advice rather then just read.xx

Yeah I agree with budgiekin

I learned most the info. I know from reading it on the internet (other is just from personal experiences)

I've never had a book before and I am pretty well educated on budgies...

...just a suggestion

I like hitting up the libraries for marine books. Maybe the library would have some good budgie books too.

My mom had a book about budgies (The Budgie (an owner's guide to a happy and healty pet))before I even knew what they were. When I decided to get one, my mom made me read it and re-read it. I think it helped to have all of the information in one place instead of different sites here and there on the internet (although I did do some net research). It's also easy to access instead of remembering the names of sites.

Just my opinion!

i have a lot of books on them. I personally find the quick reference of a book better than the internet, just because its quicker to flip pages of a book than turn on the computer, wait for it to boot up, get onto the internet, do the google search etc. lol
plus i got my books before i ever knew there was such a thing as budgie forums

I do believe that this book of budgie secrets would help dramically. I don't know everything there is to know about budgies, but I am very experienced. There are always new things to learn. I was very impressed with what this book had to offer. It's very easy to find on the internet as I was just browsing it last night. I do plan on purchasing it in the very near future, as the books you buy at the pet stores do not go as far in depth as this one seems to do. Just my opinion though.:)
