Alrighty then!

I am definately building an aviary sometime soon. It was meant to be built during the summer but I have no idea whats going on with the guy (contractor and neighbour) who's helping me. He's really good but hard to get ahold of. I am going to buy a small shed from a store, "Fred's Sheds", and then heat it and build an aviary off of it and take in unwanted budgies.

Then I came across this ad:

17 budgies for $10 each?? I have $10 to spend right now (the rest $100+ is in the bank in my Vet Fund) I can get the rest later...its quite cheap!!

They have 3 pairs sitting on their eggs and those can go for $25. what do you think? I can easily get the money.

they need to be picked up this weekend, and the thing is I'm working all weekend at a bird show. I think I can quickly take a ''lunch break'' maybe and pick them up, Toronto's real close.

What do you think?

I sent them an email, I said it wasn't definate yet, because it isn't, but hopefully I will get them.

What do you think about the eggs and breeding pairs? :S

$10 each isn't bad thats what I payed for my 2 I got at the Bird Fair Sept 9th

When I got home and got them back in the cage ( had to put them in a Box( glad i kept the boxes from the pet store) to get them home the cage was 2 big to sit with 3 people in the back LOL) BUT I told my b/f I just spent $20 on 2 BIRDS!, Buy em at a pet shop I'd only get ONE bird for that price

But I still Don't understand why the people wanted $15 for a pure white one with normal dark eyes - It wasn't even an Albino :S

Would the eggs still hatch after moving them that much? I'd buy all that I could but then again I dont have to pay bills and such...yet :) That's really cheap to me my budgies cost me 19.95 each and the ones I got today were like 25 each. I love the " dark eyed whites" I've had 2 since i started with budgies .

yeah, I think I will take them all, thats $170, a bit pricey, but I think I can pay it.

Actually I am now thinking about taking the whole lot, birds, cages, nest boxes, eggs, etc. They said that you can make an offer on it. I am going to make the person an offer after they reply to my email

What would it include? 23 budgies, the eggs . What size cage and how many? How many nest boxes? Are you sure the eggs are fertile?

I think I'm taking some of the singles if I get any now. The aviary is coming next summer :( but I can keep them in the house till then.
