I was looking for perches and found this site that has exactly the same cage I have for my budgies.

http://www.birdscomfort.com/flight_bird_cage.html

I paid $140 incl. shipping so I think approx. $100 is a really good deal on such a nice cage. If you are looking for such a cage, grab it because it is worth the money.

i got that cage for my cockatiel from thefeatherfarm.com for $100 shipped! it's an excellent cage - it's HUGE! very easy to assemble, too.

it's now $109 shipped (they must've raised their prices). still a STEAL for that price.

These are awesome cages. I like the one you bought. I also like the double flight cage. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to hear more and see pictures of your birds in it. :budgie: :budgie:

Shipping goes by your zip code, when I looked at it the actual cage was only 89.99 then in red under neath it says shipping goes by your zip code and averages between $19 - $55 dollars but I didn't look to see how much shipping was in my area

its a great cage but i have no where to put one that big :(

Yes, shipping can get expensive on this cage. Your max total could be 89 + 55 = $144 if you lived really far from NJ.

The same cage also comes with one front door but I am glad I got one with 2. It would not be easy to reach with just one door.

this cage:

http://www.featherfarm.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=40

is $109 and includes free shipping to most of the US. that's the one i was talking about. i have it and it's an excellent cage.

this one, which is a tad smaller (3" less deep) is the one i'm getting soon for my keets:

I have ordered a cage from Birds Comfort before, and had no problems.

One thing though, I found the instructions they provide for disinfecting the cages to be ridiculous ! They say to disinfect the cage with gas ! How could a company that sells bird cages publish such nonsense ?

http://www.birdscomfort.com/disinfect_bird_cage.html

Here they talk about gas soaking into the birds legs so the bird can disinfect it's feathers with it. Disinfecting a birds feathers with GAS !

The disinfection is very useful for the bird because when it steps on the “ carbonated ” perches, a part of the gas gets soaked into its legs and then when scouring themselves it goes on its feathers.

Aren't they talking about a plain carbonated water? That would not be too bad. It is not gas we use to cook. :)

I call this operation “carbonation ”, because as a “disinfectant” gas for burning is used, and gas for cigarette lighters can be used but it can be quite expensive.

Since gas meant for cigarette lighters would be a nice substitute, I would say they are definitely not talking about carbonated water.

Lets all hope nobody actually follows these instructions.

I tried to order from this website before, the cages were never available, always on back order :(

I am speachless about the gas! Most gases evaporate after being used, but if their is anything left on the cage, i sure as heck dont want my bird having it on his legs as they suggest!!!
